Innovative Tools for Job Searching & Interviewing

The Research

Simple Process

The Mentor Tutorials are a user friendly interactive interface design that allows the learner to be actively involved in the tutorial program. This type of engagement, accelerates the learning process and creates a desirable consequence for the participant.

This design principle is strongly supported by a variety of studies. Interaction is mutual action between the learner, the learning system, and the learning material (Fowler, 1980). An interactive user interface may allow learners to control, manipulate, and explore the material or periodically asks learners to answer questions that integrate the material. An interactive user interface appears to have a significant positive effect on learning from multimedia (e.g., Bosco, 1986; Fletcher, 1989, 1990; Stafford, 1990; Verano, 1987). For example, one researcher (Stafford, 1990) statistically analyzed 96 learning studies and concluded that interaction was associated with learning achievement and retention of knowledge over time.

Other researchers (Bosco, 1986; Fletcher, 1989, 1990) examined 75 learning studies and found that participants learned the material faster and had better attitudes toward learning the material when they learned in an interactive instructional environment.

Builds Confidence

The Mentor Tutorials build confidence through self-directed learning and thorough preparation resulting in stress reduction and leadership development. These qualities produce poise and a can do attitude, making way for an increased advantage over the competition as well as ssured readiness which prompts relaxation.

Good preparation and rehearsal will reduce your nerves by 75%, and increase the likelihood of avoiding errors to 95%. These are two key factors in being relaxed and confident. (Source: Fred Pryor Organisation, a significant provider of seminars and open presentation events).  Self-directed learners demonstrate a greater awareness of their responsibility in making learning meaningful and monitoring themselves (Garrison, 1997). They are curious and willing to try new things (Lyman, 1997), view problems as challenges, desire change, and enjoy learning (Taylor, 1995). Taylor also found them to be motivated and persistent, independent, self-disciplined, self-confident and goal-oriented.

Self-directed learning allows learners to be more effective learners and social beings. Guthrie, et al. (1996) noted that the self-directed learners in a Concept Oriented Reading Instruction program demonstrated the ability to search for information in multiple texts, employ different strategies to achieve goals, and to represent ideas in different forms (drawing and writing). Morrow, et al. (1993) observe that with proper planning and implementation, self-directed learning can encourage students to develop their own rules and leadership patterns.

Save Time

The mentor tutorials save the learner time with finger tip convenience and by constructing a solid foundation by using fundamental questions applicable to all industries that only need to be ascertained once. This is done by starting the program with general behavioral questions that are the basis for all interviews.  According to HubPages, In every job interview, the interviewer asks some common questions which are essential to know about you. So, preparing for these questions in advance will be a plus point for you in the interview to answer them without hesitation.

Online accessibility means you can learn anywhere there is an internet connection anytime you like and for as long as you want. This means no binding schedules or unavailable parking stalls. Where ever you are your mentor is with you.
